Jon Jones is putting an end to the saga of “lies” with Dana White. In an astonishing move, Jones took to Twitter to announce that he is relinquishing his Light Heavyweight title.
This comes after conversations with UFC President Dana White. Jon claimed that he never put a price on the super-fight with Francis Ngannou, White said that he demanded $30 million to fight Francis.
Even though Jones wants nothing to do with the Light Heavyweight division anymore after being named the “G.O.A.T” by Dana White, he is still willing to fight the right fight for the right price.
He has had enough issues in his time with the promotion. The one fight that everyone looks forward to seeing inside the Octagon is with Middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya. Jones will fight “The Last Stylebender” for the right price.
Jon Jones feels the damage is not worth the pay anymore
In a response to a fan Brother_Jason who said that Jones’ move would hurt Jones himself more than it would the UFC. Jones replied saying
I hurt myself every time I walk out there and take a punch to the head and Not feel my pay is worth it anymore.
In a final tweet Jones dropped the “Bones” nickname, saying that people may now refer to him as JJ.
